Since Bulgaria’s accession to the EU, the Bulgarian state administration has been facing the challenge to synchronize its operations with the EU requirements.

The description of the operations of the administration and the development of a management system, based on ARIS, allows for the integration of the administrative processes with these requirements. This serves as a proof that a given process complies with the requirements and helps to identify which processes and positions are affected by a change in an act or a regulation. In this way the long-term compliance with the EU requirements is ensured. 

The approach described above ensures that the compliance with different regulations – from the EU, NATO etc. – becomes a part of the daily operations and internal policies of the institution which adopts it.
